Easy Rider (1969)
Easy Rider is America, like McDonalds, Hamburgers, Levis, Coca Cola
and Harley Davidson. Somebody who is speaking about Easy Rider automatically
thinks about choppers, two Harleys where the way is the aim. Two drug dealers
Wyatt and Billy want to make a trip from Los Angeles to “Mardi Gras”
in New Orleans and just discover their native country: the land of unlimited
possibilities. But their trip ends with the death, for both.
The story for the movie was taken from a real situation: Somewhere in the
south two motorcyclists were shot without a reason. Quickly the idea was brought
on paper – a real script never existed. Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper
shot the movie free out of their soul. In the evening they talked about what
to do the next day. They had no sceneries and no sets. They just used the
breathtaking landscape. For the minor roles they took the people living near
the set. The movie was improvised from the beginning to the end. Maybe that's
the reason why it was so successful.
The Graduate (1967)
Benjamin Braddock has finished college. He is 21 years old and has no plan
what to do now. His whole life he followed the advices of his parents and
was good, but now he has to decide how it's going on for him and he is completely
at a loss. Mrs. Robinson, a friend of Ben's parents, bursts into the midst
of this crisis and makes him an offer: “I want you, just call me and
tell me when and where.” At first he hesitates, then after some time
he starts an affair between living in a swimming pool and a hotel room. Until
Elaine, the daughter of Mrs. Robinson, returns home and falls in love with
Ben which is against the will of Mrs. Robinson. A great film with Dustin Hoffman
in best form. Every teenager wants to know the answer how his life is going
to be like. This film gives an impression of this question and no other film
has done it better.
James Bond 007
Greetings from 007. In the sixties, there were also Bond movies. These movies

M*A*S*H*
M.A.S.H. is a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in the Korean War. Here, the casualties
are brought and if possible being operated. MASH consists of a motley pile
of doctors, sisters and a few team-ranks, who guarantee the regular course
of the camp. Most are here involuntarily. Mash is a satirical black comedy.
Mash is an anti war-film and TV-series. Moderate anarchy, bizarre dialogues,
changes of boredom and stress mark the life of the soldiers and doctors.
